Initiative für eine geschlechtergerechte Haushaltsführung in Berlin
Die "Initiative für eine geschlechtergerechte Haushaltsführung in Berlin" entstand im Mai 2001 - mit dabei sind Frauen aus Nichtregierungsorganisationen, Stiftungen, der Wissenschaft, Parteien und Gewerkschaften. Nachdem sie sich auf Berliner Ebene für die Einführung des Instruments Gender Budgeting stark gemacht hatten, hat das Abgeordnetenhaus einen Beschluss zur Einführung von Gender Budgeting gefasst - allerdings zunächst nur in einigen Bezirken und in einigen Ressorts. Die Initiative achtet nunmehr darauf, dass Gender Budgeting in Berlin auch wirklich umgesetzt wird. Weiteres Ziel ist es, Gender Budgeting auf kommunaler, Landes- und Bundesebene in Deutschland zur Anwendung zu bringen.
Gender Responsive Budget Initiatives (GRBI)
The GRBI is a collaborative effort between the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), The Commonwealth Secretariat and Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC), to support government and civil society in analysing national and/or local budgets from a gender perspective and applying this analysis to the formulation of gender responsive budgets. The Gender Responsive Budget Initiatives Website is a 'view only' website for the general public, and an interactive website for registered partners, and for those interested in participating in discussions.

Commonwealth
The Commonwealth is a leading international voice on the promotion of gender equality. The Commonwealth recognises that development is strongly linked to the protection of human rights and that women's empowerment as much as men's is an integral part of the sustainable people-centred development process. Women's Budget Group (WBG)
WBG is an independent UK organisation bringing together academics and people from non-governmental organisations and trades unions to form a network of experts to promote gender equality through appropriate economic policy. The WBG aims to encourage the government to use gender analysis to improve its economic policy making. The WBG also advocates specific policies. The work of the WBG is focussed at the UK level, but it has links with a group that has a similar aim for Scotland, and with both NGOs and intergovernmental organisations that promote gender budgeting internationally.
Engender
Engender, an organisation dedicated to promoting and advancing gender equity in Scotland, best known for its annual Gender Audit, which documents the position of women in Scotland on a wide range of indices - employment, health, violence, law, education, arts, and politics.
South African Women's Budget Initiative (WBI)
Idasa's mission is to promote a sustainable democracy in South Africa by building democratic institutions, educating citizens and advocating social justice. The Women's Budget Initiative is a joint project of the Parliamentary Committee on the Quality of Life and Status of Women (PCQLSW), the Community Agency for Social Enquiry (CASE) and the Idasa: Budget Information Service (BIS).

GenderKompetenzZentrum
Das GenderKompetenzZentrum ist eine anwendungsorientierte Forschungseinrichtung zur Unterstützung von Gender Mainstreaming-Prozessen und versteht sich als Drehscheibe in einem jungen Feld wachsender Kompetenz und Bedeutung. Versucht wird, Menschen und Organisationen, die sich mit Geschlechterfragen befassen oder befassen sollten, miteinander ins Gespräch zu bringen. Damit sollen bestehende Strukturen gestärkt, weitere Aktivitäten angeschoben, Wissen gebündelt und Kooperation gesichert werden.Konkret angeboten werden Beratungen, Materialien, Veranstaltungen, Forschung und Lehre zum Thema Gender Mainstreaming und Gender Budgeting.

NDP Gender Equality Unit
The NDP Gender Equality Unit provides a support and advisory service on mainstreaming equality between women and men (gender mainstreaming). This simply means incorporating a gender equality perspective into mainstream policies as these policies are developed, implemented and evaluated. Gender mainstreaming is a requirement for all policies and programmes funded under the Irish National Development Plan 2000 to 2006 (the NDP). The Unit advises and supports NDP policy makers and implementors in carrying out this work.
